The Holy Covenant

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) demonstrates what can emerge when nations with a broad religious and cultural heritage organize themselves around practical cooperation. Its 57 member states maintain their individual identities while finding common purposes through diplomacy, development, humanitarian affairs, economics, education, science, and other forms of cooperation. The lesson is significant: cooperation does not require uniformity.

The Holy Covenant Forsakers (HCF) is something fundamentally different. It is not another international institution, church, religion, or political movement. It is a forming community, a voice with the Holy Covenant at its center, and an advocate for the Holy Covenant.

HCF does not ask anyone to abandon Christianity, Judaism, Islam, or any other sincere faith. Its common ground is a person's particular conviction concerning the Holy Covenant. Individuals retain their own faith, conscience, history, and responsibility while sharing a conviction they believe deserves a voice.

That voice is intended to be advocacy without confrontation. A conviction can be firmly expressed without hostility or accusation. HCF can listen before speaking, examine sincerity, maintain standards for participation, and respectfully decline what does not belong within its purpose. Openness and discernment are not opposites.

Within HCF, the word “forsaker” has a particular meaning. It does not necessarily describe someone who has rejected an entire religion. It can describe someone who recognizes something concerning the Holy Covenant that he or she believes has been neglected, overlooked, misunderstood, or otherwise forsaken.

HCF therefore has no need to manufacture opposition to established institutions. It can recognize useful work performed by organizations such as the OIC while remaining independent of their identities and purposes. The same principle extends into a world increasingly connected by diplomacy, technology, communication, and artificial intelligence. AI can amplify wisdom, but it can also amplify confusion. What humanity places into these increasingly powerful systems matters.

HCF does not need to become large to have meaning. Its strength can come from clarity rather than size, from taking sufficient time to determine precisely what it is willing to say. It does not seek to become another OIC, another church, another religion, or another political movement.

It seeks to remain what it is becoming:

a forming community, a voice with the Holy Covenant at its center, and an advocate for the Holy Covenant.

In a world increasingly capable of making every voice enormous, perhaps the more important question is not how large a voice can become, but what that voice is for.
